Back Again

‘Beer makes you clever: it made Bud wiser.’

Another late one folks. Last night we had the Five Year Night celebrations at Club de Noyer, and we didn’t get home from that until 11.30. We had over 50 people present, including 16 new Five Year members. What a milestone five years is. Being here for that length of time demonstrates a real commitment to the CM cause. I salute and applaud all those who have reached the five year mark.

Today, Lazy Day Sunday, we started our preparations for the big sporting contest with Camp Kawaga later in the week. We have to find a lot of teams, in a lot of sports for what will surely be a great two days of competition. Our rivalry with the boys from Minocqua goes back many years. I know that they are as keen to play as we are. For many people around the world this great rivalry and the result of the competition really matters. We have already had alumni from Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Scotland and all over America get in touch with us to wish us well in our endeavours.

The weather continues to be hot and clammy. It has been punctuated with a few storms, just enough to cool us down in the evening, but not enough to slow the cruise down. And it will NOT slow down! The boys have been here for a week already!

And there’s more to come tonight. I’ll tell you about that tomorrow.

Until then, you know all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
