British and American continues…

‘The block of granite that was an obstacle in the path of the weak, becomes a stepping-stone in the path of the strong’. Thomas Carlyle

British and American picked up the intensity today as the sun shone and the boys did their best for their respective teams. As I write this Word tonight, the older boys are running all over camp in a game called Revere’s Ride. Based upon classic orienteering, the object is to gather letters (that will form a phrase) that are hidden in places that can be only found by deciphering riddles (not something I’m good at). This is the first time we have tried this and it is a B & A game, so there are plenty of marbles to play for.
Earlier in the day we played British Bulldogs, Runners and Chasers and Bari’s Balloon Toss, all B & A games and all worth lots of points. I believe the British are just ahead at this point, although it is close and there is everything still to play for.
I can’t believe that the third week is almost over. Tomorrow is yet another special day and you will hear all about that after it happens.
In the meantime, as the game continues tonight, please know that all is well, so you can safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
