Competition Day

‘The difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion is the thickness of a prison wall.’

My apologies for the late post, folks, but we were out late last night at Club de Noyer for Five Year Night. The Five Year ceremony is a big deal. To come here for five years is a big commitment and that loyalty is rewarded at Five Year night with the presentation of the most expensive jacket these guys will ever own. We had 17 new members join us last night, for a total group number of 64! Toasts were made and songs were sung, and we got back to camp at 11.15, by which time I was ready more than ready for bed.

Earlier in the day we had our first taste of competition against the boys from Camp Timberlane. We came out on top by a score of 14-2, with the older boys doing particularly well in their events. That sets us up well for something else we’ll be doing next week!!

Today is Lazy Day, and the boys get to sleep until 9.45. We have a surprise for them for later on, and I will tell you about that this evening.

It’s cooler and a lot less humid this morning and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
