Fantastic Friday

‘When the facts won’t budge, you have to bend your attitudes to them’

Friday is the end of the week for most people, but not for us. The days blend one into the other here, so that there does not appear to be an end to one week and a start to another. And that’s ok, by the way. We are not too bothered by the calendar or the commute. Camp is its own little world, as far removed from where you guys are tonight as can possibly be; and our world looks good as we reach the end of today.
Right now the boys are in Wasserman Hall playing Let’s Make a Deal. This is one of those camp fires that the younger boys love. The Seniors not so much, which is why they have gone out on the town this evening. Yes, both the CITs and the Senior cabin went out to dinner and to see a movie.
As there was no TLL, our early evening activity was making sandcastles instead. The beach was divided up into equal lots and the cabins had 30 mins to build a sandcastle. The lake is high this year, so the beach has been reduced in size, but there was still enough room to make something. With a little creativity and 30 mins to play with, the boys and their counsellors made some proper castles (as opposed to mermaids and turtles). Prizes for the two winning cabins will be announced and awarded tomorrow.
In between some great food in the mess hall, the day was largely a normal/regular day. We might have something special lined up for them for tomorrow, but I couldn’t possibly tell you what that is just yet.
Swing by the Word tomorrow and you’ll find out more. Until then I hope all is as well in your world as it is in ours, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
