Every year Camp Menominee is committed to making camp accessible for as many families as possible. To help make this mission a reality, we partner with the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund to offer scholarships to campers in need each summer.

Below you will see the process for applying for Financial Aid (aka “Campership”), as well as the deadlines associated with your program. All Camperships applications will be reviewed by the board of the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund and awarded based on need and available funds.

All Financial Aid communication should go to natewassermancampfund@gmail.com

Is my Family Eligible for a Campership?

Before you go through the Campership application process, here are a couple guidelines that can help you decide if a Campership is right for your family:

  1. Is my son 7-15 years old and is Camp Menominee the right place for him? Please make sure you explore our website to ensure that our camp values match what you are looking for in a camp experience for your child. If you’d like to learn more, please set up a time to chat and/or meet with one of our directors.
  2. You are seeking >50% or more in financial aid for this summer. Please know that this Campership process is in partnership with the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund. The Fund will ask that families contribute as much as they can to the camper experience, with the Fund supplementing enrollment as much as they can. If you are seeking less than 50% please reach out to Camp’s owner Jason to discuss options. Please review the Dates and Rates on our Parent Headquarters page. Remember,
  3. You are willing to fill out an application that will include sharing personal financial information and submitting teacher recommendations for your son.
  4. You and your son are willing to participate in a zoom interview with representatives of the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund and one of the Directors of Camp.
  5. You would not be able to send your son to camp without this Campership opportunity.

Application Process

  • Step One: if you have not done so already, you must first complete an online camp enrollment form. When you get to the section regarding payment, please select “pay by check” and you will not get charged a deposit while your application is pending. Camp will not ask for a deposit or any payments towards enrollment until your Campership Application has been accepted and awarded. Remember, if you are unsure if camp is right for your son and want to learn more before applying, please reach out to us and set up a time to chat
  • Step Two: Fill out this Nate Wasserman Camp Fund Campership Application. This will be submitted directly to the board of the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund. The application will ask for financial information, how much you can contribute to enrollment fees, teacher recommendations, and other important information.
  • Step Three: Representatives for the Fund will reach out to confirm receipt of your application and set up a time for a video call.
  • Step Four: You will be notified by the Spring if your son has been awarded a scholarship. In the mean time, you will be considered fully enrolled in camp and will get regular updates from camp directors about what is needed leading up to your summer at Menominee.
