Having fun in Eagle River

‘Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others’

The thunderstorms and 70% chance of rain never happened today – how could they be so wrong? Indeed, the more the afternoon wore on, the better the weather became. When they get it this wrong I will not complain as it meant that we could eat out in the woods and get out on the lake. The wind blew hard all day and that helped us fly some kites and surf the white caps.
This was, of course, Lazy Day, although not the usual kind of Lazy Day the boys are used to. Yes they slept late and yes they ate out in the woods, but we also did some instructional stuff in the morning and the laundry got turned around inside one day. So definitely a different kind of day.
As I write this the wind continues to blow and I can hear the thunder from a few miles away, but I am confident that it will pass us by to the south.
Tomorrow the trips go out. We’ve got a great week ahead.
All is well, so safely rest folks.
Goodnight everybody.
