We’re having a heatwave….at Menominee

‘A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption to our work. He is the purpose for it. He is not an outsider. He is part of it. We are part of it. We are doing him a favor by serving him, and he is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so. We love our customers.’

We end Saturday night a little later than normal after movie night (Remember the Titans) and canteen rolled into one. It is hot and humid – more Florida than northern Wisconsin – a real mini heat-wave. The sky is being lit up by heat lightning and the breeze coming off the lake is more tropical than arctic.
We said goodbye to our two-weekers this morning. They were driven back to Chicago and we got on with our day. We spent most of it in cabin activities and down at the waterfront. It was definitely a day for sailing and windsurfing and relaxing on the beach.
Tomorrow is Lazy Day Sunday and in 15 minutes I will be asleep.
All is well in the Woods, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
