Hot and Humid

‘I wonder what kind of bird Humpty Dumpty would have turned into? Sadly, we’ll never know.’

‘We’re having a heatwave’ we sang at lunch as the temperature was pushing the upper 80s. What a contrast to yesterday!

More Sun and Wind this morning with Runners and Chasers, certainly one of my favourite games, and certainly one of the most complicated running games I know. It’s all about running without being tagged for as long as you can. The Sun won this one before the Wind cruised to victory in Tug-O-War. That gives the Wind a 2-1 advantage going into the final day of the Weather War tomorrow.

Twilight League took centre stage this evening. During Canteen that followed shower and dip the Senior age group headed out to go and watch the counsellor softball at Camp Ojibwa on the other side of Eagle River. I’ll have the result of that game for you tomorrow.

For the younger guys who stayed here, we read ‘stories from the big chair’ in Wasserman Hall. I’m a big fan of reading – I think you know that – and the boys like to be read to, and I am happy to oblige.

And now the old place is quiet, and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
