It’s All Over

‘When one door closes, so another one opens.’

We finished the session, and the summer, with our awards ceremony inside tonight. The rain spoilt the fire, so we took the fire inside. It was an emotionally charged evening as so many kind words were spoken and so many awards won. I cannot go into too many details right now, as it is already Thursday morning and we have to get up at 6.30 to prepare for the grand depart home. But I can and will share with you the news of the Nate Wasserman Award winner. This is our most prestigious award and goes to the camper that most exemplifies the Menominee Way. The recipient might not be the best athlete, but he will embrace all that makes, ‘the boy you want your son to be…’. And this year that boy is Harris Greenbaum. He is, like many Nate’s before him, a most worthy winner.

I will write more in completion tomorrow (later today), but until then please know that all is well – if a little wet right now – so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
