‘For success, attitude is equally important as ability.’ Walter Scott

MCAA (Menominee Camping Athletic Association) league championships today. We just about got everything in around the two downpours; one late in the morning and again at dinner. The only really sports to suffer were the court sports, but we might be able to get back to them on Saturday, assuming our packed programme allows for it.

This evening we let the boys enjoy some free time before an early canteen and flag lowering. We then went into Wasserman Hall for the campfire, a new game called, Dear Sir. The idea was to ‘write’ a letter, on stage, one word at a time, one person at a time, on a given topic, randomly chosen. This was always going to be a funny campfire, and so it proved. Spontaneity and quick wit were going to be the key to this, which is probably why the older boys did a bit better than the younger guys. Great fun.

And then to bed by 9.50 on a beautifully cool evening.

All continues to be well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.
