‘You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t even try’. Beverly Sills

What a beautiful day! The sun shone – for the most part – so we managed to get everything in that we wanted to. Big Ten this morning and MCAA this afternoon. The boys were enthusiastic and excited to participate, and even when the clouds gathered after dinner, there really was no stopping them.
We built sandcastles on the beach as our early evening activity. This is a very popular ‘campfire’, especially amongst the junior cabins. We had football stadia and sculptures and even a heron with eggs. And of course there were real sandcastles. But is was cabin 3 in the younger age division and cabin 12 in the senior group that won the day with their very creative grid-iron stadium and field, and a huge turtle with a hat on. Way to build and sculpt guys!!
As I write this, the boys are in Wasserman Hall playing Let’s Make a Deal (with Monty Hall). This is another of those campfires that appeal to the younger cabins. They really get into it with some pretty wild costumes.
Both the Senior cabin and the CITs are out on the town tonight for their first night out of camp this summer.
So day two is almost over. The rain has stopped and all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
