Stunningly beautiful night in the North Woods

‘I have one rule – attention: They give me theirs and I give them mine’.

We have a log fire burning in the lodge tonight as the temperature dips to an unseasonal, but fresh low. Talk about perfect sleeping weather; this is perfect. I like to keep my windows open so that I can enjoy the chilled air, although I accept that for those boys who live in Arizona and southern California, this weather can be quite a shock to the system. But it is what it is and the show must go on.
The trips all arrived home safely this afternoon and by the sound of it everyone had a great time. We have one more trip to go out tomorrow – the youngest Juniors – and that will be it for another trip season.
After canteen this evening, I hosted a campfire I have entitled, Tales form the Trips. Everyone comes into Wasserman Hall to regale us all with the stories and the memories they have just made; and they had a lot of stories and a lot of laughs to share.
The holiday weekend is fast approaching and the fireworks have been bought, and the Tour de France starts in England on Saturday. And with Wimbledon and the World Cup in full swing, there is no shortage of action for us sports fans to watch.
The world looks good from where I’m sitting, as indeed I hope it does where you are. Needless to say, all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
