WOODY’S WORD 10th July 2013

‘Depend on the rabbit’s foot if you will, but remember; it didn’t work for the rabbit’. R.E. SHAY

What an unstructured day it was today. We started with an awesome all-camp Capture the Flag in the gully and moved on to the Lumberjack Olympics – courtesy of Koz –  this afternoon. Some of the boys have tried doing things today that they have never tried before: throwing horseshoes; log-rolling; building a giant Jenga tower with firewood to name but a few. We had a lot of fun.

There was no Twilight League tonight as we have the championship games all day tomorrow, our final day of the first session. After we lowered the flag we came into Wasserman Hall for an episode of Seinfeld. We don’t do this very often, but when we do the boys really enjoy it, even if some of the comedy is a little old.

The temperature has dropped and the sky is clear tonight. It feels almost autumnal which is great after the extra hot and humid days we’ve just had.

We’ve had a wonderful Wednesday, as indeed we hope you have too. It’s the last hump day of the first session and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
