“Kind words cost nothing, yet they accomplish so much”

Back into Green and White today, and what a start it was for the White team. Already down 2-4 before the distraction of the Kawaga competition, they searched hard this morning to find as many people as they could in the Counselor Hunt, and by quite a large margin, they won and can now see the Green team in their headlights. It could all be tied up by the time they go to bed tonight as they are just about to get Midnight Manhunt underway. This is always a fan favourite. Running around in the woods with a flashlight with all your friends is what young boys are meant to do in the summer. The Ring of Fire has been lit, and the song has been sung, so it’s time to play.

This afternoon’s action, Bari’s Biffs, started in the sunshine, but only lasted half an hour before the storm that threatened came and washed everything away. We had to take shelter for a good 45 mins as the rain turned the gully into a lake, and while the wind was nowhere near as bad as had been predicted, it did get pretty dark and ominous. But it passed eventually, and we emerged to a very wet camp. That was like two weeks rain in one hour, and the ground didn’t stand a chance. But blues skies are coming our way tomorrow, so things will be like normal very soon. And if things are normal, then all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
