WOODY’S WORD 20th June 2013

‘Time is simply nature’s way of making sure that everything doesn’t happen all at once’ Anon.

Sorry for the late post folks, but we had some internet problems up here and then we lost power as a storm rumbled through and blew us about a bit. Such is life in the North Woods, but we love it here.

Today was a regular day; as regular as they come in fact. Instructional in the morning and leagues in the afternoon. We lost a little time in the afternoon as the rain came down, but that liquid refreshment came as a welcome surprise. The Friendly Confines are looking green and fresh, that’s for sure!

This evening  the younger boys played Twilight League while the Seniors played two pick-up games of softball and basketball. The Senior cabin and the CITs went out on the town for their first night out of the summer. They got back early though to see the end of the NBA finals. There was a mixed response to the Miami win. There will be far more interest in the NHL finals tomorrow night, as the ‘Hawks take on the Bruins back in Chicago.

For those of you who are familiar with the CM website you will have noticed that the site has a new look this year. We are getting used to it ourselves and may make some changes to it yet. In the interim, please accept our apologies for not posting a ‘successful bus arrival’ message on Monday. It was remiss of us, but we live and learn.

So we end the day with some much-needed moisture. The fields will be soft and green tomorrow. They, like us, need hydration.

All is well folks, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
