“We’re having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave…”
This is Florida weather tonight folks, and this is why I don’t live in Florida. It is both hot and humid. Last weekend everyone wanted a heater in their rooms: tonight they all want an extra fan. Such is mother nature.
I’ve just left Wasserman Hall where the boys are engaged in the Spelling Bee campfire. They are getting close to finding a winner, but it is proving very difficult to separate the top spellers. They are GOOD! Surprisingly good, in fact, given that technology had appeared to have done away with the need to spell correctly anymore.
This was a nice, leisurely way to end the day after the riotous afternoon we had out on the athletic field and at the lake in pursuit of King of the Camp points. It was Track and Field and Swim Meet, King of the Camp stuff, and everyone had a great time, despite the 85 degree temps.
We’ve just explained the Lazy Day concept of Sunday to them, and they seem to like the idea of sleeping in until 10am. That’s right guys: we let them lie until 10am. Lazy Day is a different kind of day, and I will explain more about that when tomorrow is done.
Until then, please know that all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
