WOODY’S WORD 22nd July 2013

‘There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that is your own self’. ALDOUS HUXLEY

And we are improving all the time! Today we have been practising and formulating our teams for the upcoming competition with Camp Kawaga, our great ‘cross-town’ rival of many years.  We are to compete against them in hockey, soccer, football, archery/riflery, volleyball, flag-football, neucombe, softball, basketball and tennis. I cannot give too much away at this stage except to say that we look good and feel confident. The games begin on Wednesday and conclude on Thursday evening, and of course you will find out everything that happens right here in the Word.

We had a tremendous pep-rally this evening in the mess hall, in which the competition jerseys were handed out amidst much cheering and chanting and singing. The boys are as excited as they are tired after a long day, which is why we blew Taps at 9.40 tonight.

The campfires are burning and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
