‘All anybody needs to know about prizes is that Mozart never won one’. HENRY MITCHELL

Welcome from a very chilly North Woods. This weather is playing tricks on us I fear. It is 40 degrees cooler today than it was exactly one week ago! Great for land activities I guess, but not for the waterfront. We will make the best of it for now though.

We woke up late (9.45) this morning after our competition day. We all needed the rest. We then mixed up the day a bit with some free play and some Twilight League this afternoon. This evening we hosted a social with the ladies from Camp Marimeta. We had Monster entertainment in the mess hall busting out the tunes and the place was rocking!!

Tomorrow we have the 2 and 6 week campers leaving us. Their camp summer is over and we want to thank you for letting us share some of 2013 with them. I’d like to think that they have a had a great time here. It’s not easy choosing what to do for the summer given that there is so much out there to do. It is for that reason that we would like to thank you, the parents, who chose Menominee for your son’s camping experience this summer. We will be here next year if you would like to build upon that experience.

The time continues to fly by. The temperature might suggest that it’s autumn already, but it is only July and we still have plenty of camping to do. With an extra blanket on, all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
