“Learn to listen, then listen to learn.” Anon

We’re havingĀ  heatwave….Oh boy it’s hot and muggy. It won’t go below 65 tonight apparently. But camp goes on, no matter what the weather. Today, as it neared 80 degrees, we got on with Kawaga practices. We’re busy formulating teams and getting things right before the competition on Monday and Tuesday. And we’ll do the same tomorrow.

Last night the staff went over to Camp Kawaga to play their staff in basketball. In what turned out to be a very close contest (double overtime), we came up short right at the end, although not before we had put up a great fight. So in three sports (volleyball, softball and basketball), we won two of those three. I’m happy with that.

We are going to do Lazy Day tomorrow, despite the Kawaga practices. The boys need their rest (as do we) and there are other camp things we need to do. While the competition is important, we must not let ourselves get too distracted from the many days of camping that are left.

I’m going up to Wasserman Hall now to watch ‘new song and cheer night’. Let’s see how creative they can be.

All is well folks, it really is, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
