‘A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions’. OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES
Oh my word, the score is now 5-5! What a comeback by the Whites. With grit and determination and that never-say-die attitude they are right back in it. For some people it would have been easier to just give up after falling behind in the way that the White team did, but our boys – your boys – are made of sterner stuff. Game on!!
We will take a break from G & W tomorrow so that we can get the League Championships completed. We will get right back at it in the next few days though, and what a thrilling finale it promises to be.
The Rec’ hall ha just emptied out after the music show this evening. It is going to be a relatively early night – compared with the late one we had yesterday. And why was that you ask? We had the small matter of our counselors playing the guys from Kawaga at basketball. I know I mentioned this last night, but now I can bring you the score: 39-36 in favour of the Green team!! Yep, that’s right folks, we came out on top in a close and exciting game. So in our three game series – volleyball(won), softball(lost) and now basketball(won) – we take the summer athletic honours between these two great old camps.
The temperature is down to a very comfortable 53 degrees tonight. There is not a cloud in the sky; only the millions of glittering stars on an inky-black canvas. What wind there is would not be enough to disturb a fallen feather. Nature is at peace with us tonight, as we are with her. Things could not be better, indeed, all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
