“All is perishable in the world. Power and self will disappear, but the virtue of a great name will live on forever.”
We had some people making a name for themselves today as the Whites came roaring back to tie it all up at 5 – 5. We started with Capture the Flag (out on the golf course, the old course), and then this afternoon, a game called Cipher (another one of those squirt gun-fight-games in which I have no idea what is going on), but the boys seemed to enjoy it, especially the White boys as they won!
It was tough to run around in long pants and long sleeves today as the mercury hit 85. The storm that came by yesterday was all but forgotten as the sun dried everything out. Just a few puddles remain on the Bob Bender Senior Diamond, although I fully expect them to be gone by lunchtime tomorrow.
Right now the boys are in Wasserman Hall doing another Green and White game, Mannequin Madness. In this one, each team dresses up a Junior, Intermediate and Senior camper in a particular theme, and then makes a speech about that theme and why they have dressed their ‘mannequin’ in the way they have. This won’t go on too much longer, and then everyone can get to bed after a draining day. More sunshine and more Green and White tomorrow. Until then, please know that all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody
As ever…WOODY!
