“Just when I thought I knew all the answers, life started asking me all the wrong questions”.

Green and White hots up! That would be the headline if this was the Tribune. The Green team dominated today. They won where it mattered in the Land and Water battles, and they also got it right in the game of Infection this morning. They now lead by a healthy 200 points, but as we all know, there is much more Green and White to go. Don’t be surprised if it all comes down to the Relay.

At rest period after lunch today, the teams gathered for their first Sing practice. This is the event that so many of the boys do not like practicing for, and yet all of them hate losing. I like the Sing as it is the one thing they do for Green and White that is not athletic. It has it origins from way back. Things weren’t as well documented as they are today, so my knowledge of camp in the 1950s and 60s is limited, but we’ve certainly been singing for as long as I’ve been here, and I’ve been coming to camp since 1987. I think that the effort they put into the Sing far surpasses anything else they do for Green and White, and that is why there are such emotional scenes at the end of it all.

It’s Saturday night and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody

As ever…WOODY!
