“Woke up this morning feelin’ fine, I’ve got Menominee on my mind…”
Well the Whites are in pole position going into the Relay tomorrow. They won the Sing last night, so Green and White really is theirs to lose now. But as we all know, the Relay can be very unpredictable. An inability to row can really cost you. The wet wood we have now after this morning’s rain could make the fire building a real problem. We are going to do brunch at 10.30 with the Relay following at 12.30. The forecast is good, (sunshine and mid 70s) so we are all optimistic that we can have a great end to Green and White this year.
We played Twilight League all day today. The Intermediate game was the last to completion around 7.30, so we now have three age-group winners for our big, evening softball program.
We blew Taps at 9.30 tonight, which was earlier than planned, but people were (are) tired. You can always tell by the breakfast line outside the Mess Hall. It’s usually 20+ deep in the first few days of camp, but by this morning only a few hard-core cabin 3 boys were there (the younger boys). Oh to be 8, 9 10 years old again.
My Taps is as soon as I’ve published this. One full day to go, and all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
