‘How is it that it takes only one careless match to start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire’? ANON

Well a fire is the last thing we need to tonight. It’s still 79 degrees and humid. Phew!!

The older boys are in the lodge with me right now watching the All-Star game and the younger boys are – hopefully – asleep. We had a brief meeting on the basketball court after lowering the flag as it was just too hot inside Wasserman Hall. An early night is not such a bad idea given the speed at which we hit the ground after the buses rolled in on Sunday. The heat is pretty draining too.

Today was a normal day. By normal I mean we did two instructional activities this morning followed by MCAA leagues this afternoon. The emphasis in both Generals was waterfront. It’s on days like this that we thank whoever we need to thank for the lake and the coolness it brings.

Despite the heat, please know that all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
