For decades, Doc’s Run has taken place exclusively at camp with runners and walkers only being current campers and counselors…but this year we have BREAKING NEWS: you can actually join the 130+ runners/walkers at camp and for the first time participate in Doc’s Run from home! All campers, alumni, parents, friends, family…anybody who wants to can sign up for Doc’s Run. Below you’ll see links to register your son or yourself to run at camp AND a link to register to run from home. How will it work? On Sunday August 4th, while the race is happening at Menominee, you will run/walk your 4.5 miles, use your favorite running/fitness app to track it, send in a screenshot, and you will receive a special 2024 Doc’s Run shirt! More importantly, you will be able to raise money for your efforts. At home participants we will ask for a minimum $25 donation. Runners/Walkers at camp are free. There will be prizes for those who raise the most money!
Once again we will run/walk Doc’s Run to support important camp charities. This year, we have also added a sponsorship opportunity for individuals/businesses. Doc’s Run embodies the spirit of giving and inclusivity, aiming to support and empower families in need and under-served communities by helping send kids to camp each summer. By sponsoring Doc’s Run, you’re not just promoting your brand; you’re investing in the future of children and communities, making summer camp experiences accessible to many.
Who do we support? The Nate Wasserman Camp Fund: ensuring that the spirit of our camp’s founders live on by supporting families in our community, allowing children who would otherwise not afford it to experience the joy of summer camp. Camp For All Kids: promoting racial diversity and inclusion by providing camperships to kids from under-served communities, offering them unparalleled learning and growth opportunities.
