WOODY’S WORD 29th June 2013

‘We spend the first twelve months of our children’s lives teaching them to walk and talk and the next twelve years telling them to sit down and shut up’. PHYLLIS DILLER

Saturday night in the North Woods. The temperature is dropping to the perfect- sleeping-setting. It’s just a gorgeous, cool evening.

We had our last normal day for a while. Final Four instructional in the morning followed by leagues this afternoon and then a large does of TLL this evening. I say ‘normal for a while’ as it is Lazy Day tomorrow and then the trips go out on Monday morning. Normal camp routine will be suspended until we all get back together again as a group on Wednesday evening. Then there is the small matter of July 4th to contend with, so it is unlikely that we will return to normal until next Saturday at the earliest. And that’s ok!

Our Saturday evening late program was spent in Wasserman Hall watching a classic episode of Seinfeld. This is situation comedy at its best. Although it is a bit dated the boys really enjoyed it. It served as a window to the past as seen by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David. Our late evening program (or campfire) can take many forms and this is just one of many ways we entertain ourselves.

We’ve been here almost two weeks and all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
