Hot and Humid

‘Don’t put off, until tomorrow, what you can do today, because if you do it today and you like it, you can always do it again tomorrow’.

And that is exactly what we are going to do. We get to continue Sun and Wind and have a Lazy Day!
It was Runners and Chasers this morning. This is a high energy game of running and tactical awareness on the move. It’s against the clock and you have to be quick-thinking and quick on your feet. The Wind were the quickest – please forgive my use of the collective noun, but I can never quite decide which way to go on that one – as they managed to stay alive a full 2 minutes more than the Sun.
Then it was down to the waterfront for Power-Dipping. As the temperature rose this was probably the best game we could play at this point. It was close – again – but once again the Wind came out on top.
After lunch the whole camp came out to the Octagon to watch the Captains Compete as they attempted to get each other as wet as possible with the aid of a few balloons filled with water. There was no hiding place for either competitor as the arena was small and the crowd packed tightly around the edges. With one magnificent throw of the balloon, the Sun soaked the Wind shirt and the game was all but over. Is this the start of a Sun comeback?
There will be more to follow in the days ahead, but as I write this tonight, the Wind is blowing pretty hard.
Twilight League took centre stage this evening and then it was Ball in the Cup night in Wasserman Hall. Getting the ball in the cup is relatively easy, but getting it on the pin….now that’s tough. But Cabin 7 managed it and in so doing they won a pizza party for themselves, which they are enjoying right now.
It’s another Saturday night in the North woods, and all is well, so safely rest.
Goodnight everybody.
As ever…WOODY!
