Sunday June 2: All FIRST YEAR staff,  INTERNATIONAL staff and those training for LIFEGUARDING/CLIMBING arrive at camp. 

**Travel Note: Camp will have transportation from O’hare International Airport (ORD) to camp departing ORD  no later than 3pm. Please plan your flights and arrival accordingly. It is about a 5.5 hour drive to camp. If you cannot make this shuttle, you will need to drive yourself to camp or fly in to Rhinelander (RHI) local airport.

Monday June 3 – Saturday June 8: Lifeguarding training, climbing/zip line training and new staff training will take place. 

**ALL JUNIOR COUNSELORS: If you are training for climbing or LG please arrive by June 2. Otherwise you can arrive Sunday June 9 with the rest of the staff.** 

Sunday June 9: All RETURNING (and all other staff) arrive by this evening. 

**Programing Note: We will be hosting an Alumni Weekend (called Fantasy Camp) at camp from June 9-12. 

Sunday June 9 – Thursday June 13: Full team staff training will take place. 

Thursday June 13 – Sunday June 16: Camp will host Father/Son Weekend. We will have about 150 dads and sons with us for the weekend. 

Sunday June 16: All of the Father/Son campers  go home except the boys who are staying for the first session of camp. Those campers stay with us at camp. 

Monday June 17: The rest of the boys join us by 2:30pm and camp begins!

Thursday August 8: Camp ends and the boys depart in the morning. Staff stay to help clean up and get camp ready for our post-camp programs. 

Friday August 9: Camp will provide transportation back to Chicago. 

**Travel Note: If you book flights home for Friday August 9, please make sure your flight departs LATER THAN 4PM. 

PACKING

LAUNDRY

Staff will have time-off each week and should use some of that time off to do laundry. There are a number of laundromats in the area to do this. There is also a Walmart and other convenience stores in the area so you can pick up all the supplies you need.

WALMART/AMAZON

We know there will be items that are either too large to pack or do not make sense to drag with you across the world. Don’t worry! We have a Walmart in the area and we get Amazon deliveries daily. You can purchase all necessary items (i.e. toiletries) when you get to camp. 

We will do a number of things to prepare you for the summer, and put you all in the best position to succeed:

1. Pre-Summer Meetings: We will host zoom calls for new and returning staff to help go over important information and help you get to know camp. Check emails and WhatsApp group for information. 
2. Expert Online Training: We will ask that every staff member go through an online training curriculum in the spring prior to coming to camp. This will cover important topics that will be vital to your success at camp this summer. 
3. UPDATE: As of April 25 all staff should have received an invite to the EOT platform. If you have NOT, please email jeff@campmenominee.com. 
4. Specialty Training: We will provide (at no cost to you) training in Lifeguarding, Boat Driving, Climbing, Zip Lining and other areas of camp. Lifeguarding will be a combination of online coursework and in person training. 
   1. Lifeguards: you will receive information in early May for the online portion of your lifeguard training requirements. You will need to complete this BEFORE arriving at camp. 
   2. For ALL waterfront staff, if you are interested in learning to drive boats this summer (or have been hired to do so) you will need to obtain a Wisconsin Boat Drivers License. Camp will cover these costs, so please keep your receipt and turn it in when you get to camp. Here is a link to the Wisconsin Boat Driver Training Course.
5. Pre-Camp Orientation: We will spend 1-2 weeks together at camp before the campers arrive. We will go through a robust training program during this time that will include learning sessions, team building events, collaboration and orientation. Camp will provide an outline of this program before you arrive at camp.
