“Never interrupt your opponent when he/she is making a mistake.”

Green and White, fight, fight, fight!! Green and White fever has broken out at camp tonight. In what was meant to be the start of Song Night, instead turned into a Green and White showdown. The Green and White ‘guys’ took center stage as they spoke of many past battles between the Grenians and the Whitians, and indeed Jason, the Green General, had been captured by the White warriors earlier this evening. Captains were chosen and the teams revealed, whereupon we retired to the GreenHouse for the opening Cheer-Off. The acoustics in there were perfect for shouting and cheering. After three cheers each, it was the Whites who prevailed, and the competition was underway. Green and White will now dominate everything we do over the next week, although it will not be the only thing(s) we do.

This afternoon – just to mix things up a bit – the counsellor soccer team played the camper team. It was a close contest, but in the end the counsellors proved just a little too strong for the younger guys. At 4pm we opened the waterfront for everyone as it was a hot and humid one. But whether hot and humid, or cool and dry, all is well, so safely rest.
