WOODY’S WORD 3rd July 2013

‘Bad things are not the worst things that can happen to us. Nothing is the worst thing that can happen to us. RICHARD BACH

Everyone is back at CM tonight after their three day/two night trips. It sounds as if they all had a great time. We all had dinner together for the first time since Saturday night, after which we all played Twilight League.

The canoe trip got back much earlier than planned owing to the high water on the Wisconsin River, and as a special treat, the two youngest cabins are sleeping on the golf course (in tents) tonight.

For those of us here today, most of the time was spent on the waterfront as the fabulous weather continued. It looks like it’s going to be good for the 4th too. That bodes well for the fireworks tomorrow night.

I just managed to catch the end of today’s stage of the Tour de France in which Mark Cavendish  sprinted to victory for his 24th stage win overall. What a spectacular sporting event the Tour is. Not quite Menominee v Kawaga, but it’s right up there.

So all is well folks as the time continues to fly by, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
