“Life moves pretty fast: if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” John Hughes

What a great week of sport. England beat Switzerland at the Euros. The British beat the Americans here at CM. Biniam Girmay continues to shock at the Tour de France with his second stage win and another green jersey. And Mark Cavendish (Sir Mark…) won his 35th and record-breaking stage. And if all that wasn’t enough, the Tories (in the UK) were simply trounced in the UK General Election. So we welcome Sir Keir Starmer as the new British Prime Minister. What a week!!

The British dominated the B&A competition here, winning both the squirt gun fight and Message to Garcia. The Americans just did not have an answer and were soundly beaten. Oh, but if things had been different back in the 1770s. We had a great day for running around with a squirt bottle full of dyed water. It was hot and sunny and perfect for jumping in the lake afterwards.

We had a very casual evening and early Canteen so that we could get into Wasserman Hall for rock Band tonight. This is an opportunity for our talented musicians and singers to get up on stage and make some music. They’re still doing it as I’m writing this. After this, a few select people will be going night climbing, while others will be enjoying a cabin pizza party in the Mess Hall. We can afford to go a little long tonight as tomorrow is Lazy Day, so everyone gets a lie-in until 9.45 (if they want to).

We’re almost at the end of week three, and all is still well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
