“If you think you’re too small to make a difference, think of a mosquito, and think again”.

Hello everybody

Beat Kawaga team practices all day today. I’d like to think we are now ready to play and compete. The games start tomorrow afternoon and will go thru Wednesday until a late dinner. Everyone is excited to play this year, not least because we have not competed against Kawaga since 2019, pre-pandemic. So, for an awful lot of the boys this is a brand new experience. Each game/event (there are 71) is worth one point, so 11D basketball is as important as 16A softball. So it doesn’t matter what team the boys made, everyone can make a difference, not unlike the mosquito above. 36 is the magic number we need before we jump in the lake, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Let’s see how tomorrow afternoon goes before we take stock and plan for Wednesday.

I think the weather looks generous for us, so fortune will favour the brave while we make our own luck.

We’re quietly confident, and super excited, which means that all is well, so safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
