“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

Five Year Night this evening. We inducted 19 new members into the club, and then that whole club (68 people) went out on the town for pizza and ‘drinks’. To spend five summers at your favourite summer camp is some achievement, so it is right that that is acknowledged and celebrated. We also had a number of dads come up to CM especially for the occasion. Five Year Night is one of the high points of the summer, and we are definitely excited to welcome so many new guys this year.

Earlier in the day we hosted Camp Ojibwa for some volleyball and softball. We played four games – two in each sport – and we ended up winning two and losing two. Of course it was the softball we won – naturally – but the volleyball was close.

Other than that, camp is going smoothly. I don’t like a bumpy ride, so smooth is so much better. And if all is smooth, then all is well, so safely rest.
