“Humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but thinking of ourselves less”.

Hello everybody

Tonight I can tell you that the Whites are ahead in our colour war, Green and White. This morning it was Creatively Acquire the Energy Source, with Claim the Castle (another game that involves squirt bottles and coloured dye) this afternoon. As if all that wasn’t enough, we had an extended General at 3.30 that included the Slip and Slide, back for another day. We had extra soap and baby oil left over from Tuesday, so we thought, why not. After all, it’s not everyday that one gets to slide down a long piece of clear plastic sheeting covered in soap and baby oil, and on a hot day!

This evening (as I write this in fact) we are hosting Camp Marimeta in a carnival-themed social. The boys have made various booths and games for the girls to enjoy. We also have shaved ice and music and drinks and trampolines, and….so much fun. That is beginning to wind down now as the night draws in, and when they have left we will get into some more Green and White in the form of Midnight Manhunt. At least that is the plan. It all depends what time the girls get out of here, so I won’t tempt fate just yet.

What I will do is tell you that all is well (as we enter the final week of camp), so safely rest.
