“Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four small squares with your bare hands, and then eat just one square.”

Green and White Cross Camp Classic consumed the whole day today. This is where the teams play one another in soccer, football, basketball, ultimate frisbee, softball and volleyball, and may the best team win. We play it across all three age groups, so just about everybody who wants to play can and will play. This evening the Cross Camp Classic came to head in the GreenHouse with the wrestling meet. This is always exciting to watch, made even more so this year as it decided who won overall. And it was the Greens who prevailed, and that sets things up perfectly as we near the end of the competition. The Whites have a narrow lead, but there is everything to play for in The Sing (on Monday) and The Relay the following day.

Tomorrow (Lazy Day) we take a break from Green and White as we head to town for Town Day (part II). That is after we run Doc’s Run of course. Yes, it’s already that time of the summer when we pay homage to Dr Kenny Miller who started this run back in the 1980s in an attempt to get people moving more and eating less. Kenny died at the tail end of the summer last year, but his memory lives on with Doc’s Run, the 4.5 mile run/jog/walk from the junction of O and 70 back to camp. We start at 7am, so we will be retiring very soon once Rock Band is over.

We still have a whole lot of camping to do, so while all is well, we will safely rest.

Goodnight everybody.

As ever…WOODY!
